Review of Mud Island River Park Reviewed October 8, 2017 This display of the Mississippi river route in the floor with it twists and turns thru the various states is an education in its self-just a wonderful site which more people should see--we took the monorail over to the site and that was nice for us seniors I so wanted to visit Mud Island River Park and come back and do a glowing review, alas, that is not to be. The park itself has much to offer in the way of a tram and/or footbridge to take you from the mainland to Mud Island free of charge, a museum dedicated to the Mississippi River, a replica of the Mississippi River and all of the states that it touches, an amphitheater, kayaking etc... There are beautiful pieces of art along the walkway and lovely areas for picnics or pondering for a spell. The flora is lush. The view exquisite. What a plus for Memphis to continue showcasing its water-front location. Kudos to the city and the designers of the new Mud Island River Park. Visited September 2023.
